How It Works:
During the treatment, the laser emits mild energy pulses that penetrate the skin to target the pigment in hair follicles and hair shafts. Pigments give hair its color, and the energy absorbed by the follicles destroys their growth ability. Hair in its active growth phase contains more pigment and responds best to treatment. By targeting follicles in this phase, laser hair removal gradually eliminates unwanted hair while leaving surrounding skin unharmed.
Hair grows in three stages:
- Growth Phase (2–7 years): Follicles are highly active and most responsive to laser treatment.
- Regression Phase (2–4 weeks): Follicles begin to decay.
- Resting Phase (3 months): Follicles are dormant before new hair begins to grow.
Unlike shaving or waxing, which only removes hair above the skin, laser hair removal destroys hair follicles in the growth phase. Hair in regression or resting phases is also removed, but because follicles are highly resilient, multiple sessions are needed to achieve permanent results. Before Your Treatment
Please ensure the treatment area is freshly shaved. This allows the laser energy to effectively target hair follicles, maximizing treatment results.
During Treatment
Your technician will guide the laser over the treatment area. You may feel a slight snapping sensation, similar to a rubber band, and experience a cooling airflow for comfort—both are normal. Hair follicles absorbing the laser energy will be destroyed, and treated hair will shed over the following weeks.
After Treatment
Multiple sessions (typically 4–6) are required for optimal results, as hair grows in cycles. Hair that regrows will be finer and lighter with each session until minimal or no hair remains.
